Samsung to enhance its Galaxy ecosystem via new Handoff feature

Samsung Galaxy smartphone users, get ready to experience device synchronization on the Galaxy devices even better than what Apple offers for its devices.
Samsung is aggressively working on upgrading the overall Galaxy ecosystem, for which it is constantly partnering with Google to improve that aspect of Android. Currently, Google is gearing up to bring a new feature called Handoff, which will be compatible with syncing apps, media, and even notifications across Android devices signed into the same account.
According to a report from one of our reliable colleagues, Android Authority discovered a tool named App Cast in Google Play Services, which hints at a feature called Handoff. The newly stopped strings revealed that notifications can be synchronized across devices signed into the same Google account.
This means that you can now share files and media across your Android-based Galaxy devices, such as smartphones, smartwatches, and tablets. You will also get the compatibility with streaming apps wirelessly from one Galaxy smartphone or tablet to another.
However, the Korean tech giant is already offering a similar feature with a different name, ‘Continue on other devices,’ but it only works across Galaxy devices, and it only offers app continuation for stock Samsung apps, a synchronized clipboard for copy/paste, Wi-Fi passwords, and the camera.
The new Handoff feature will allow you to access notifications, files, and media as well, and it will work across Android devices from several brands. The feature seems convenient for especially when someone has a combination of Samsung and some non-Galaxy Android devices, as the feature is tied to Google PlaServices.
