Samsung to skip Saturn camera ring design for Galaxy Z Fold 7

Samsung is all set to bring a new revolution in the foldable market by debuting the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is anticipated not to have the rigid camera ring design.

Last week, the Korean tech giant officially confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip FE will be debuted on 9 July, at the Summer Unpacked event, in New York. To date, dozens of renders of these upcoming foldable phones have already come into existence, which have revealed design, camera setup, physical button position, and more.

Samsung also released a few teasers of the latest foldable phones, which confirmed that the devices will feature a smarter camera with more advanced features. Meanwhile, now a reliable tipster, IceUniverse, shared a post on X, claiming that the company has decided to drop the rigid camera ring design from the final production version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

According to the tipster, the early Galaxy Z Fold 7’s camera ring still has the “Saturn Ring Design,” but in the recent development phase, the company has received a lot of opposition, that force it to urgently removed the saturn design and returned to a design similar to the older Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Noticeably, the recently leaked renders also showcased this to be the case; however, the official camera setup design of the device has yet to be revealed. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip and will run Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box.
