After a certain interval of time, the One UI 8.5 version is in the news again! Just in: It looks like Samsung has indirectly confirmed that the company is developing the newest One UI 8.5 version behind closed doors, despite working on One UI 8.0 currently.

Basically, the entire Galaxy audience has been hearing about the rumored OS iteration, One UI 8.5, that’s going to run Android 16 on top since April. However, amid certain teasing and rumors, the company has not provided any official confirmation so far.

Meanwhile, just recently, Samsung has indirectly provided an official confirmation that the newest version is in the making, as accidentally the company has revealed that One UI 8.5’s internal reviewing and checking has begun, thus hinting that Samsung has started the development of the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy devices.

More specifically, a random Galaxy user took it to Samsung’s official forum for smoother charging animations and the Now Bar on the lock screen. At this point in time, this news is to be taken as a piece of a report and not an official confirmation, and thus, it still remains to be seen.

Well, things seem to be changing this time, as Samsung is planning to skip the other two incremental updates, the One UI x.1 and One UI x.1.1, and will directly jump to the One UI x.5 build. Let us tell you that the first ever One UI x.5 version came four years ago in the form of One UI 2.5, and now, it’s possible that One UI 8.5 will change things around for the Galaxy family.
