Galaxy S26 Could Launch Without Exclusive Custom Snapdragon Upgrade

Samsung is constantly using the Snapdragon series chipset for its Galaxy S series devices, however, it has also introduced some of those models  with in house chipsets, Exynos. But it is worth noticing that from the last few years, the snapdragon chipset that were used in the S series devices were custom upgraded. But it seems like this time there is no custom upgrade available for Galaxy S26.

According to a reliable tipster, Jukan Choi, Qualcomm has decided to make the custom upgraded Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 which is expected to be available with the Galaxy S26 series.

For your information, the custom upgraded chipset makes the Galaxy devices more powerful and efficient. In detail, as per the deal of Samsung, Qualcomm made some changes to increase the clock speed and make it available as a tag name “For Galaxy”

However, the tipster hasn’t confirmed it but highlighted the rumour about it so it is possible that there could be no changes in the custom based processors for the devices. As the Samsung’t in house process Exynos 2600 production is also not ready yet so there are very less possibility of rumour claim.

Samsung is expected to bring the Galaxy S26 series devices to market in early 2026 in the dedicated Galaxy unpacked event. Based on previous launches it is expected that the device could be available in the months between January and February.
