Samsung is already rumored to bring its own version, Samsung Auto DeX, an Android Auto alternative to be easily optimized for in-car experience; meanwhile, it looks like the company has another platform that’s under development.
Basically, earlier reports uncovered that Samsung is designing an all-new alternative option to Google’s Android Auto, which was named Samsung Auto; however, it was perhaps limited to the China market. Now, a report apparently suggests that Samsung is already working on another option that will act as an Android Auto alternative for the Galaxy audience.
Samsung Auto DeX is Coming Soon
Just recently, a tech guy named GalaxyTechie discovered that Samsung has started working on a new Auto DeX, a feature that is designed to support 8,500+ car models from 100+ well-known car brands and also offers a stunning UI that is more or less identical to Google’s Android Auto or CarPlay. In simple words, the Auto DeX is very well-optimized for providing an amazing in-car experience.
Beyond this, Samsung’s Auto DeX appears to have a centralized built-in car system that probably shows a map for navigation and a playlist for music that can be accessed via a shortcut placed on the right above the music control widget. Also, the time is displayed at the left side on the top, with a list of apps such as Bixby, Music, Phone, and Maps, and an app drawer shortcut.
At the same time, interestingly, the Auto DeX can be easily accessed from the user’s phone using some tricks even if their car doesn’t support Auto DeX.
Well, it looks like it’s too early to predict anything about what kind of features the new Auto DeX will come up with, other than those mentioned above. Also, for now, things can only be assumed. Indeed, Samsung has planned some more work for the feature that will be revealed in the future.
