
After introducing the July 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy A15, now the company has initiated the update distribution for its flagship smartphones – Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 series.
Samsung is sending the July 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra series with the firmware version numbers S931NKSS5AYF6, S936NKSS5AYF6 and S938NKSS5AYF6 respectively. While the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra carries version number S921NKSS8BYF1, S926NKSS8BYF1 and S928NKSS8BYF1 respectively. The update currently available in South Korea, and will soon be expand other regions as well.
According to the changelog, there is no significant changes mentioned there. As the update strictly targets the security of the devices then it is expected that the company could bring the update for ensuring the overall security of the devices.


The July 2025 security patch for the Galaxy devices brings a total of 40 patches where 22 are included by Google and 1 is addressed to semiconductors. Along with these, Samsung has also added 17 more patches to fix its own device issues. Additionally, the update could also improve other functionality of the device as well
Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 are eligible to get the monthly security patch updates, which means you will get the at least one update per month related to security enhancements.
Talking about major updates, the Galaxy S25 series is already running in One UI 8 beta testing and it will soon get the stable update in the coming days.
