Samsung’s exciting fold trio, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and the first-ever Flip folding fan Edition model, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, was unveiled during the Summer Unpacked that took place yesterday. While the slimmest Galaxy Z Fold 7 shines bright with its amazing features, the device has ditched the iconic S-Pen support.
Most prominently, among several other factors, Galaxy Z Fold 7 catches the fan community’s attention with its stunning slim and thin design, being the first ever foldable phone in the Galaxy family so far.
However, it’s official that the audience will not get any S-Pen support with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 models; here’s the description, according to the report by Android Authority.
Meanwhile, the company has ditched the S-Pen support from the Galaxy Z Fold 7 units; the newest foldable is re-engineered to be the thinnest and lightest fold ever, which appears to be the most possible reason for the removal of the S-Pen to achieve the desired slimness factor.
Basically, with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 models, Samsung has removed the digitizer layer from the inner display, which makes it thin and light at the same time. This layer situation potentially makes the phone much thicker, and since Samsung apparently wanted to make the fold look slim, it removed the S-Pen section completely from the device.
Moreover, after the grand unveiling, Samsung has already started pre-orders for the newer generation foldables (you can check the deals and offers available in the US), which will be available for purchase in the retail stores near you via Samsung’s official website by the end of this month.
