Samsung’s One UI 8 is considered to be a significant shift towards a more refined and intuitive experience for the entire Galaxy ecosystem. With the newly unveiled Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, the foldables are to be arriving with Android 16-based One UI 8 on board, out of the box; the company again throws a spotlight on its newest major OS version.

Since Samsung has already provided an overview of the One UI 8 version, which is confirmed to be arriving with the latest Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE models on top, the Galaxy S25 series is already testing the newest build and will be followed by more eligible devices in the future.

So far, the company has initiated the One UI 8 Beta program for the current S series flagships, the Galaxy S25 series, and three beta builds have already been released, while the newly unveiled folding phones will be shipped with stable One UI 8.

Samsung’s Android 16 Update Rolls Out to More Devices Soon

At the same time, well, Samsung is perhaps going smoothly with the progress of the One UI 8 version, and thus, it looks like the company will begin expanding the newest update for more eligible older-generation units such as the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S25 Edge, followed by folding phones and tablets gradually. Also, the company has already started initiating One UI 8 development in other Galaxy devices, excluding the S25.

More specifically, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 models will be running stable One UI 8, perhaps providing a short glimpse of what is to be expected when the newest build attains its stability stage.

With a more refined look, One UI 8 significantly boosts efficiency, making every single task quicker and easier; adds a more personalized and new UI that helps you stay on top; reimagines editing with a touch of refined Galaxy AI; and makes Google Gemini a new voice assistant, now Brief, and Secure Folder for better security. All in all, with One UI 8, users will get a fresh, stylish, sophisticated, and smarter experience.
