Samsung’s Portrait Studio is a feature that allows Galaxy users to seamlessly convert or edit their images into a stylish avatar; however, so far, this capability only detects and creates AI avatars with the photos of humans. While the Portrait Studio will be able to convert pet portraits into avatars as well, here’s the list of devices that support the function.
With One UI 8, Samsung is looking towards upgrading the ability of Portrait Studio to create stunning AI-powered portrait avatars of pets also, as spotted on the Galaxy S25 Ultra model, running the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 version. Meanwhile, the official source has confirmed the Galaxy devices that are eligible to get this functionality.

Basically, through Portrait Studio’s AI pet avatar feature, users will be able to upload their pet’s portrait, while the Galaxy AI will automatically start creating a cartoon avatar by detecting certain pet features such as their eyes, mouth, nose, ears, and more. However, this feature is yet to make its way to the Galaxy S25 models running the public One UI 8 Beta, suggesting that the function still remains hidden in the internal test build.
Meanwhile, here are a few Galaxy devices that support Portrait Studio’s AI-powered pet avatar feature:
