Samsung is expanding the July 2025 security update in more countries right after covering almost all the major markets. So far, the update has been delivered to a handful of Galaxy devices; meanwhile, the company is rolling out the update for a bunch of devices in the Canadian market.
The July 2025 security update is now available for the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy XCover 7 Pro in Canada. The update is identified with their respective version numbers, which are as follows:
- Galaxy S25 series—S93*WVLS5AYE7
- Galaxy A36—A366WVLS3AYG1
- Galaxy XCover 7 Pro—G766WVLS2AYG1
The update is primarily meant to improve the device’s overall security while also protecting it against various potential threats. As usual, Samsung’s latest monthly security patch packages bring a number of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed in earlier versions. This eventually provides a more secure user experience alongside adding certain performance optimizations and stability to the entire system behavior.
At the same time, all the above-mentioned models have already received the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 build.
Well, Samsung is currently working on its next-generation OS, One UI 8, that is going to run Android 16 on top; the devices are eligible to receive the upcoming major OS update, with the Galaxy S25 series already running One UI 8 Beta 3. Hopefully, Samsung could expand the One UI 8 beta program for more older-generation units in the coming future.
