Samsung has initially distributed the July 2025 patch for most of the foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Now it is expanding to more foldables, including Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5, Fold 3, and Flip 3.
Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 have firmware version numbers F946NKSS5EYG1 and F731NKSS5EYG1, respectively. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 will have firmware version numbers F926NKSSAKYG1 and F711NKSSBKYG1, respectively. The update is currently spotted in South Korea and expected to be expanded to more countries.
The July 2025 security patch for the Galaxy devices doesn’t bring any significance for the devices, but it will focus on enhancing the overall security of the devices. Apart from these, if you are getting any other issues while using the device, then you should update the device to the latest update.
It is worth noticing that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are just surviving on the patch update, and they are no longer eligible to get any major updates.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 were released with Android 13 preinstalled and promised to get four major updates, so these devices will get the One UI 8 update in the coming days. It is also possible that these devices could also get early access to the update before stability.
