Samsung Foldables Hit All-Time High in Pre-Orders

Samsung launched the seventh-generation foldable phones – Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 Series earlier this month. Before the month ends, the devices have already broken pre-order records in India.

At the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, Samsung launched the latest foldable phones, including Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Recently, it was reported that the newly launched foldable phones have the potential to set a new pre-order benchmark by breaking previous records.

Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 & Flip 7 FE Break Pre-Order Records

Meanwhile, Samsung has officially announced that it received 210,000 pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, and Galaxy Z Fold 7. One of the interesting facts is that this happened within just 48 hours after the pre-order period started for these new phones. With these metrics, the phones have reached close to the pre-orders the company has received in India for the Galaxy S25 series.

Each foldable has a dedicated cost in the Indian market, which is as follows:

  • Galaxy Z Fold 7 costs INR 174,999, nearly $2,031
  • Galaxy Z Flip 7 costs INR 109,999, nearly $1,277
  • Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE costs INR 89,999, nearly $1,044

During the pre-order program, customers can get a free storage upgrade. Back in 2021, the company sold 10 million foldable phones, but over time, the sales of its foldable phones started to plateau, and then they fell. Now, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7’s pre-order metrics seem like a positive sign for the company.
