Samsung claimed that the seventh-generation Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are thinner, lighter, and the most advanced foldable phones yet.
It’s hardly been a month since Samsung launched the latest foldable phones, and within no time, the devices have already set a new pre-order benchmark by breaking the previous records currently in India and are expected soon in more markets.
Recently, Samsung announced that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has passed a rigorous durability test, and the result assured at least 10 years of durability. Now the company has taken its Newsroom to write, “The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are Samsung’s thinnest, lightest, and most advanced foldables to date.”
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is reported as the world’s thinnest foldable yet, which measures 8.9 mm folded and 4.2 mm unfolded, which is almost half as thick as the original Galaxy Fold. It also features a new 21:9 bar-phone aspect ratio, enhancing portability.
Coming to the Galaxy Z Flip 7, it measures just 6.5 mm folded and 13.7 mm unfolded. The company has enhanced the battery’s energy density, resulting in a 300 mAh increase over its predecessor, and the interesting fact is that it did so without even increasing the thickness.
The notable part of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the advanced Armour Flex Hinge technology, which is 27% thinner and 43% lighter than its predecessor. The Ultra Thin Glass of the device delivers a smooth and less-visible crease. Whereas the Galaxy Z Flip 7 features the thinnest FlexHinge yet, which is 29% slimmer than the one used in the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
To bring new revolutionary upgrades, Samsung optimized the panel structure and used advanced materials in the Fold model to reduce display thickness. To improve durability, a titanium-based lattice is used instead of carbon fiber. The Fold 7 features a smarter camera setup that includes a 200 MP sensor, which makes it the first foldable to have a high MP camera yet in the Galaxy family. All of these facts make these devices smarter and more advanced compared to many of the foldable phones available in the market.
