Galaxy S26 Ultra Tipped to Feature Larger Aperture for Major Camera Upgrades

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is highly expected to bring a new turnaround in terms of camera upgrades, making it superior to other Galaxy devices in the market.

Following the ritual, Samsung will launch its next-generation Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, which will include at least three models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+/Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. It might be possible that the company replaces the Plus variant with Edge due to the lower sales rate of previous Plus models; however, it’s not officially confirmed yet.

The Ultra variant of the lineup, Galaxy S26 Ultra, is now rumored to bring a convenient camera upgrade with an HP2+ sensor with a larger aperture. A reliable tipster, IceUniverse, shared a post on X, revealing that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a brand new 200MP HP2+ sensor with a bigger aperture.

This new upgrade will be quite efficient for increasing the light input, enhancing the dim light quality, and improving all existing problems. If the report comes true, then Galaxy S26 Ultra will be the first device in the last five years to bring one of the most notable and worthy camera upgrades in the Ultra lineup.

Since the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the Korean tech giant has been gradually improving the focus, shooting speed, and low-light performance of each generation. However, Samsung hasn’t offered any official details regarding the camera upgrades coming to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, not even any clue, so it will be interesting to see whether the device will bring the leaked upgrade.

In a few recent days, it was reported that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a larger display & slimmer bezels, Sony’s 1-inch 200MP camera, a brighter & more efficient CoE OLED screen, and more.
