Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Series is getting the July 2025 Security Patch

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is the last model in the Note series. These devices have already reached the limit of getting major updates, but they are still eligible to get security patches. And following the same policy, it is getting a fresh security patch update.

July 2025 security patch may be the last update for the Galaxy Note 20 series?

Samsung has introduced the July 2025 patch for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones with the firmware version numbers N981NKSS9HYG1 and N986NKSS9HYG1, respectively. However, this patch could be the last update for the Note series; they are supposed to get five years of software updates, and in August, it will mark its software support end.

As of writing, the update for the Galaxy Note 20 series has been spotted in South Korea and is expected to expand to more countries in the next few days.

The July 2025 patch is one of the usual security maintenance updates, which doesn’t include any impactful changes for the devices. But it will ensure that your device will get protection against external threats.

So if you want to get secure, then you should go for the latest update for your devices. As this could be the security patch for the device, it should be the right time to buy the latest smartphone to get the updated features of the latest One UI and performance. If you are interested in the flagship segment, then Galaxy S25 series devices can be the best buy.
