Samsung started testing One UI 8 for the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 Lite

Samsung is gearing up to launch its budget-friendly tablet, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, and it has already started testing Android 16-based One UI 8 software for the device.

Currently, Samsung has at least three tablets in the pipeline to launch by the end of this year, including the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, Galaxy Tab S11, and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Apart from these tablets, more Galaxy devices are also in line to launch anytime soon.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite has already made its existence known through several verified certifications, such as Bluetooth SIGBIS, FCC, and 3C certification.

Now, a tipster KeepUPwithOneUI, revealing that the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 Lite has been spotted on the One UI 8 test server with version number X406BXXU1BYH1 in several regions, which are as follows:

  • Korea, India, Europe, and Vietnam

This suggests that the Galaxy Tab 10 Lite will run Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box. It’s expected that Samsung will power the device with an in-house Exynos 1380 chipset integrated with 6GB of RAM.

A few days back, the real-life images of the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite emerged online, which hints that it will have a similar design language to the Galaxy Tab S11; however, there will be a lack of more advanced features just to keep the Lite model affordable. The exact launch date of the device is not clear yet, so it remains to be seen whether the company will introduce it alongside the Galaxy Tab S11 series or separately.
