It looks like Samsung is eyeing taking a significant leap in its Galaxy device’s charging standards, perhaps beginning with the Galaxy S26 series, where, specifically, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to have huge 60W wired charging support. This sounds impressive, but this massive jump does not appear to be making it to the flagship mark, reports say so, anyway.
In the recent past, Samsung has significantly followed a pattern of integrating 45W charging support within its high-end flagships. This seems to be changing soon!
While Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is currently the new talk of the town due to the recent report that claims that the upcoming model is supposed to be featuring a 5,000 mAh battery power alongside a huge 60 W wired charging support, a fresh report from Ice Universe on Weibo highlights that even after bringing a new revolution to the charging standards, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s charging numbers are, however, disappointing.

The tipster reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 5000 mAh battery capacity can help it charge to 75%-80% in just half an hour with the help of 60W wired charging support. These numbers are actually impressive, as the 60W can reach as close as 90% in 30 mins, but also the measurement might disappoint fans, as they expect even better performance from Samsung’s side.
On the comparison side, the current 45W charging support can reach 70% in half an hour. Subsequently, the Galaxy S26 Ultra battery’s ability to reach just 75%-80% is not significantly huge, as the rival Android partners are already offering 100W wired charging support at 6000 mAh battery capacity, which manages to get fully charged in just half an hour.
Well, if Samsung is making a difference in the charging standards of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, it could bring improvements to its wired fast charging speed, hopefully.
