Samsung Publishes August 2025 Security Update Details with Full Device List

Samsung’s top priority is its Galaxy device’s security and proper core functionality. That’s where its monthly security patches come to the rescue; meanwhile, a new month has already started, and Samsung has just released crucial details of its latest August 2025 security update for its Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and foldables.

The company has detailed its new monthly Security Maintenance Release, or SMR, which brings various key patches from both Google and Samsung collectively.

More specifically, the latest Android Security Maintenance Release for the August 2025 package applies Google’s patches in the form of several CVEs, consisting of 1 critical CVE, 28 high-level CVEs, 3 CVEs that are already included in the earlier updates, and lastly, 1 CVE that is not applicable to Samsung Galaxy devices. This eventually helps users to have a more secure experience and even protects the device against sophisticated threats.

Accompanied by Google’s patches listed above, Samsung Mobile also offers 18 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items, which in turn improves the overall system security of the Galaxy devices. These SVEs include fixes for the security vulnerabilities for Samsung Account, system management, improvements for Galaxy Watches, improved fall detection feature for Galaxy Watch, Emergency SOS, and Document Scanner.

At the same time, as always, Samsung has removed a few of the Galaxy devices that will now be ineligible for security updates in the future, which include the Galaxy M32 4G, Galaxy F22, and Galaxy A22. In simple words, these Galaxy devices will not be getting any security patches in the future, as they have reached their software update policy’s deadline.
