Samsung showcased an emergency feature SOS+ on its newly-launched Galaxy A series

Samsung’s newly-launched Galaxy A26, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 became the first ever devices within the company’s affordable A portfolio to feature the highly-tuned down version of the Galaxy AI, namely Awesome Intelligence. Meanwhile, in an event, Samsung showcased a new emergency feature, SOS+ for the customers in South Africa.

Introducing Samsung SOS+

Basically, Samsung conducted an event in Johannesburg, South Africa, in order to spread good news to the fans, ultimately showcasing the company’s partnership with AURA and unveiling the most incredible emergency feature, named SOS+.

In partnership with AURA, Samsung developed SOS+, which is actually an emergency assistance (or service). This is a personal emergency service that significantly connects users to a wide range of networks in different nations.

According to the company, when an emergency occurs, users need to dial the dedicated SOS+ number as this will share the person’s live location with AURA’s secured systems for help.

At the same time, they dispatches help immediately, while also calling you back from the SOS+ control center in order to assure users that the emergency assistance is on the way. Moreover, Samsung confirms that the latest SOS+ emergency service is free for the first 12 months for all users purchasing any of the A series phones, including Galaxy A26, A36 and A56, while the service will be applicable from May 1st, 2025.
