One UI 8 Adds Voice Phishing Suspected Call Alert to Help You Avoid Scam Calls

Indeed, calls from an unknown number make you feel anxious, but Samsung brings an excellent solution to this. Just in! Samsung is introducing an all-new Voice Phishing Suspected Call Alert feature, beginning with One UI 8.

Phishing has become a serious issue in the world, attacking users’ privacy and security in no time, leaving the risk of data breach. Meanwhile, with One UI 8, things seem to be changing and will offer a more secure environment to the fans, as Samsung has already started integrating the new Voice Phishing Suspected Call Alert feature within its Galaxy devices running One UI 8.

More specifically, when calling an unknown number, the One UI 8 Voice Phishing Suspected Call Alert feature uses AI capabilities to seamlessly detect and notify users about any suspicious activities of voice phishing in real time. At the same time, in case the feature detects any harmful situation, users will be notified immediately by both sound and vibration.

Nevertheless, the Voice Phishing Suspected Call Alert feature is being securely processed within the Galaxy devices. And most primarily, the feature detects voice phishing by extracting data from the National Police Agency alongside the National Institute of Scientific Investigation.

When the feature is turned on, at the time of calling an unknown number, users will receive a pop-up on the call screen that says “Detecting,” and voice phishing detection is currently in progress. Here’s how to turn it on:

  • Open the Phone app’s settings
  • Choose the Voice Phishing Suspected Call Notification menu
  • Now, turn on the toggle to turn it on.

Most prominently, Samsung will be providing the Voice Phishing Suspected Call Alert feature with One UI 8, while also confirming that the function is not included in the Galaxy S25 models running One UI 8 beta but will apparently be integrated within the Galaxy S25 family with the stable version.
