Samsung started delivering the latest August 2025 security update to its Galaxy devices, initiating the rollout with the Galaxy A56 models, and now, the current flagship, the Galaxy S25 series, is getting the update.
The latest update for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra integrates the latest August security patch, which is identified with the version numbers S931NKSS5AYG6, S936NKSS5AYG6, and S938NKSS5AYG6, respectively.
Also, the update is initially available in the hometown, South Korea, while it’s expected to expand to more major regions in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the August 2025 patch, as usual, is a minor Android monthly security update that primarily focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality, rather than integrating some major features or changes.
It packs a bundle of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities and issues while also protecting the device against sophisticated threats to offer a more secure user experience. At the same time, the update further adds stability to the entire system behavior and brings certain performance optimizations to provide smooth and stable functionality to the users.
Well, the Galaxy S25 family is currently running the fourth One UI 8 beta, while Samsung has already announced the timeline to release a stable One UI 8 version for the S25 lineup alongside Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models somewhere in September 2025.
