It looks like Samsung prioritizes the August 2025 security update for the Galaxy S24 series ahead of the One UI 8 beta, and thus, after South Korea and India, the company has started delivering the security update for the previous generation flagships in Europe.
The August 2025 security update’s expansion has already begun for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, and the update is identified with the version numbers S921BXXS4BYH2, S926BXXS4BYH2, and S928BXXS4BYH2, respectively.
Currently, the software is available in some parts of Europe, including Germany, and is expected to reach more countries shortly.
Being a regular monthly security update, the August 2025 security update significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality, rather than integrating any major features or changes. The update eventually packs a bunch of bug fixes for all the security issues in order to provide a secure user experience, while also protecting the device against sophisticated threats.
Well, the Galaxy S24 series is the first one to enter the One UI 8 beta list after the Galaxy S25 lineup, and since Samsung has announced that the official (stable) version of One UI 8 will be released somewhere in September, beginning with the Galaxy S25 series, other eligible Galaxy devices will be testing the beta version at the same time.
