Samsung is preparing to expand the One UI 8 beta program to even more eligible Galaxy devices after releasing One UI 8 Beta 4 for the Galaxy S25 series two weeks ago. Meanwhile, a new official confirmation offers peace of mind to the S25 audience.
Basically, several users have reported that they have been facing an issue right after updating their Galaxy S25 Ultra phones with the latest beta version.
Since Samsung’s Galaxy devices click some signature shots of the moon to offer a clear image that indeed looks stunning, users have complaints that whenever they take pictures of the moon, the image gets processed and automatically turns purple in color, and this is happening right after updating their Galaxy S25 devices to the current beta version.

Thankfully, there’s some peace of mind, as Samsung has already acknowledged the issue, while the official moderator has stated that this purple moon issue is just confined to the Galaxy S25 Ultra models running the current One UI 8 beta version. Whereas the official also clarified that the company will be integrating the fix in the upcoming release.
Well, the upcoming release for the Galaxy S25 series is possibly supposed to be One UI 8 Beta 5; therefore, the S25 owners can expect the purple moon issue to be fixed in the next beta release. For now, Samsung’s full focus is on the expansion of the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series alongside Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, which are now available in a few selective countries.
