Samsung’s software update management is exceptionally remarkable; meanwhile, the company is currently dispatching a July 2025 security update for the Galaxy Note 20 series.
To recall, the company delivered the second July 2025 security update for the Galaxy Note 20 series in its own country, South Korea, and this time, it looks like Samsung is expanding the 2nd July patch for the Note series models in the US.
More specifically, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra models are getting the July security update for the second time, which is identified with the version numbers N981USQSDHYG5 and N986USQSDHYG5, respectively, and is now available in the US for the Verizon carrier-locked units, while it’s expected to reach more devices across the country shortly.
However, this newest update only integrates the older July patch and doesn’t bring any major changes or features. While the company is delivering the same July security update, it’s perhaps possible that the update significantly brings some crucial fixes for the security vulnerabilities that were probably left out in the previous update.
The update apparently adds stability to the entire system behavior while also providing various improvements to the performance that eventually lead to a smoother, more stable, and more secure user experience, while also keeping the device protected against sophisticated threats.
Well, Samsung has already started rolling out the August 2025 security update for all of its eligible Galaxy devices and has detailed what the latest Android monthly security bulletin holds. You can check out the details.
