Meanwhile, as per the details published by Samsung, the latest August 2025 security update is just a minor monthly patch that significantly focuses on improving system security and core functionality. It brings a host of fixes for all the security-based issues that have been addressed in the earlier versions in order to offer a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against sophisticated threats.

Additionally, the update further adds stability to the entire system behavior and brings certain optimizations to performance that provide a smoother and more stable experience to the users.

Well, Samsung is busy delivering the August 2025 security update for eligible Galaxy devices while also dispatching the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 beta 1 for the S24 series alongside Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 devices in the selected countries at the same time. Since the Galaxy M36 is apparently eligible to receive the One UI 8 update, it remains to be seen in which timeline the device will make it to the update once the version goes stable.
