Samsung is now expanding the current August 2025 security update for the Galaxy S25 series in Europe, following South Korea.
The new update brings the Android 15-based One UI 7 August security patch for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra and is identified with the version numbers S931BXXS5AYG2, S936BXXS5AYG2, and S938BXXS5AYG2, respectively. Also, the update is currently available in Europe, while other major regions, including the US, will follow shortly.
At the same time, Samsung’s monthly security patches are, however, only meant for strengthening and increasing overall system safety while also focusing on improving the device’s security and core functionality. As per the August 2025 patch details, the update significantly brings a bunch of crucial bug fixes for all the security vulnerabilities to offer a more secure user experience and also protect the device against sophisticated threats.
Additionally, the update further adds stability to the entire system behavior and brings performance optimizations that eventually help users to have smooth and stable functionality.
Well, Samsung Galaxy S25 series owners are currently testing the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 Beta 4 in some selected countries, with the arrival of the 5th beta already circulating online, which is perhaps scheduled to be released starting next week.
Since Samsung has clarified that the Galaxy S25 models will be getting the stable One UI 8 version somewhere in September, it remains to be seen whether the company finishes off the beta phase rollout process completely before next month.
