Google Messages Rolls Out ‘Delete for Everyone’ Option

Google Messages has supported RCS messaging for a while now, and, meanwhile, it looks like the company is working on a new capability to delete messages from everyone’s side using RCS power.
Google Messages app received the Delete for me option early this year, while now, according to the recent report, the app is getting the ability to delete any unwanted message from the receiver’s side with the help of the newly added Delete for everyone option. And it appears like Google is now making this feature widely available.
Specifically, in case you have made any mistake in your message when typing the text, you will now be able to delete the message over RCS from the receiver’s side as well. However, the Delete for Everyone ability is only applicable on a supported software version, and deleted messages might be visible to others when using older app versions.

At the same time, it is perhaps possible that the option will be exclusive to the group chats and could be absent from one-on-one conversations.
Meanwhile, the ability to delete messages from the receiver’s side is appearing to be rolling out across several Android phones more widely. Therefore, when texting someone over RCS, users will be getting “Delete for me” and “Delete for everyone” options to choose right after holding the message and selecting the delete icon.
From now on, users will not be regretting that their message was sent mistakenly wrong due to the arrival of the Delete for Everyone feature of Google Messages when using RCS support. Well, Samsung Galaxy devices also feature Google Messages; thus, these models will also be receiving the support from Google’s side gradually with time.
