Galaxy Z Flip 7 proves easier to repair, a dissection video reveals

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is again in the headlines regarding its impressive repairability, as it can be more easily disassembled than expected.

Last month, Samsung launched its seventh-generation foldable phones: Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Both of these devices have already set a new sales benchmark for the upcoming foldable phones.

Samsung offered an ultra-slim design, a smarter camera, great specifications, and more advanced features to its newly launched foldable phones. Meanwhile, now a well-known YouTuber, JerryRigEverything, uploaded a Galaxy Z Flip 7 dissecting video, revealing impressive results.

According to the dissecting Galaxy Z Flip 7 video, the device has an imposing flexible folding screen and is quite easier to disassemble than expected. The company has redesigned the battery pack, which makes both batteries easily removable, upgrading repairability; it is a rare thing that appears in foldable phones.

However, the foldable screen inside remains a major weakness, as it’s too difficult to remove or replace without damaging the ultra-thin glass, and the dust buildup around the hinge reveals that the dust resistance of foldable phones is still limited. Noticeably, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are showing that the company has made great progress in upgrading durability, repairability, and hinge design, a clear testament to the giant’s efforts to perfect its foldable product series, despite the challenges of screens and dust resistance that still exist.

The gist of the video is that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is easier to repair, but users should avoid intervening on their own since, due to its complex structure and characteristic thinness, the folding phone is still susceptible to damage if handled incorrectly.
