
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is already anticipated to bring a new revolution in the smartphone market via its more advanced features and great specifications. Meanwhile, a report now says it may bring major camera improvements.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy S26 lineup in early 2026, which will include three variants: Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The company is almost confirmed to ditch the Plus variant from the lineup.
According to a new report, Galaxy S26 Ultra, will feature an upgraded camera sensor with enhanced zoom capabilities. Noticeably, all of these upgrades require more physical space, which will force the company to rejoin a design (camera island) it retired five years back.
Bigger sensors and more advanced optics naturally increase module thickness, and placing them within a blended island delivers functional as well as aesthetic balance. However, this upgrade could make the device bulkier than its predecessor.
Apart from the revived camera island, the device is also rumored to have more rounded corners. Since Samsung hasn’t released any official statement regarding reviving the camera island with the Galaxy S26 Ultra yet, it remains to be seen exactly what new changes the device will bring to the camera setup.
