Samsung has scheduled the stable One UI 8 version that is powered by Android 16 OS for this month, starting with the Galaxy S25 family; meanwhile, the company is also continuing with internal testing for the eligible Galaxy devices as well. And now, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 models have been spotted on Samsung’s test servers.
Since Samsung has been performing One UI 8 internal testing for numerous eligible Galaxy devices for quite some time, also, a few weeks ago, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 also appeared on the official test servers, and now, according to the report via X, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has also made it to the same process.
More specifically, the report highlighted that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has surfaced on the One UI 8 internal test servers and is identified with the version number F731NKSU5ZYHC. This suggests that Samsung has already started developing the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 build for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 models and could perhaps begin the One UI 8 beta program for its fifth-generation foldables anytime soon.
At the same time, Samsung has already released the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models, with the devices being tested on One UI 8 beta 2. Hopefully, the company could possibly release a beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 models soon, following older generation Galaxy devices in the coming future.
However, Samsung has highlighted a few eligible Galaxy devices that will be receiving the One UI 8 beta program; it remains to be seen whether the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 models will make it to the list or not. Well, Samsung has not made it clear regarding the exact release date for the stable One UI 8 rollout for the Galaxy S25 series, only highlighting that it will be processed in September.
