Samsung to launch Galaxy Tri-Fold globally next year

Samsung is looking forward to launching its first tri-fold phone, the Galaxy Tri-Fold, which is now anticipated to be available globally, as the GSMA IMEI database listing reveals.

Back in July, Samsung launched its seventh-generation foldable devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Meanwhile, for so long, it has already been working on its first tri-folding to launch by the end of this year.

The Galaxy Tri-Fold has already been spotted on several certifications, such as the Korean Safety. Initially, it was highly anticipated that the device would be available in limited regions only, including Korea and China, since the device had been listed on several certifications for these two regions only.

Meanwhile, a new report from one of our colleagues, SammyPolice, revealed that the upcoming Galaxy Tri-Fold has now appeared on the GSMA IMEI database listing with the new model number—

  • Galaxy Tri-Fold – SM-F968B

The last character, “B,” in the model numbers hints at the global variant. This means that apart from China and Korea, Samsung will release the device globally. Reportedly, the device could be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S26 series globally, which means in early 2026.

Recently, it’s been reported that Samsung could launch the Galaxy Tri-Fold sometime in October; however, the exact launch date has yet to be revealed.
