Surprisingly, Samsung has released the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 beta 2 for the Galaxy A36, even when the flagships, the Galaxy S24 series, alongside the Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, are already testing the second beta phase.
The One UI 8 beta 2 update for the Galaxy A36 is spotted in India; at the time of writing, it’s expected that more eligible countries could follow shortly in the near future. The beta update for the mid-range model is identified with a new version, ZYI7.
It looks like the latest beta build is minor and brings a few essential bug fixes and other relevant improvements that are required to provide a smooth user experience. It adds fixes for the issues where the camera is terminated when in portrait mode, fixes the reboot issue when trying to change the time manually, fixes the camera ANR issue, and lastly, adds a fix for the AUT issue.
Other than that, the latest update significantly integrates the September 2025 security patch that aims to focus on improving overall system functionality, strengthening security, and adding stability to the system behavior in order to provide a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats.
Well, the One UI 8 beta program apparently offers a significant chance for the Galaxy A36 owners to enroll in the latest beta phase to test out the latest features and enhancements and provide feedback during the phase, ahead of the stable release.
At the same time, Samsung has moved forward with the One UI 8 beta program and is continuously making efforts to make the update available for all the eligible Galaxy device owners; however, the company is yet to begin the stable One UI 8 rollout, starting with the Galaxy S25 series, this month.
