Samsung has already headed towards the stable Android 16-based One UI 8 rollout for the Galaxy S25 series alongside the Galaxy S25 Edge, which will be followed up with more devices in the coming months. Since the latest version is considered to be the most significant upgrade, it adds certain refinements to its iconic DeX, revealed by the newest software update for Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.

Basically, Samsung has already delivered a new One UI 8-based software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 models in its home country, South Korea, followed by the US, integrating the September 2025 security update.

Apparently, this newest update not just adds additional security within the core functionality of the latest devices via the September patch but also introduces certain new features that are unavailable in the classic version of Samsung DeX. (via Android Authority).

Accompanied by the integration of Google Finance into Now Bar for checking stocks, the latest One UI 8-based update significantly adds some interesting features to Samsung DeX on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.

First up, it adds the ability to put up any app to the taskbar and adds a new keyboard setting that allows users to control where and when they want the on-screen keyboard to appear, and lastly, the update apparently adds a dedicated full-screen option at the top of the app for a quick and convenient user experience when maximizing a window.
