Samsung Electronics introduces SmartThings Pro Safety for B2B users based on the Galaxy Watch to provide optimized management solutions for several commercial spaces.
The SmartThings Pro Safety Management Solution helps to protect and manage the safety of industrial workers in real time by utilizing an AI-based B2B solution called ‘SmartThings Pro.’ The company designed it to deliver an optimized management solution for various commercial spaces and the ‘Galaxy Watch’ LTE model.
Currently, it is available on the Galaxy Watch 7 LTE model, but the company assured that it will expand the support to more products in the future. This solution allows the field managers to monitor in real time the skin temperature, heart rate, fall status, and other biometric data of workers wearing the Galaxy Watch. It can also monitor surrounding temperature and humidity data from the SmartThings Pro dashboard on a PC or tablet.
The ‘SmartThings Pro Safety Management Solution’ will automatically send emergency notifications to surrounding workers and safety managers immediately whenever changes in the worker’s environment, for instance, abnormal heat index or falls, are detected, which will be convenient for them to respond quickly.
It will help in many ways; for instance, if a worker recognizes any dangerous scene, like being trapped in a confined space or detecting a fire, then pressing the SOS button placed on the home screen of the Galaxy Watch safety management solution will immediately send a notification to nearby workers and safety managers.
Regarding this SmartThings Pro Safety Management Solution, Samsung Electronics B2B Solution Team Leader Vice President Park Chan-woo stated, “We will support smart industrial site safety management with a new solution that combines the health monitoring technology of the ‘Galaxy Watch’ and the data analysis of ‘SmartThings Pro.’” and “We will continue to develop differentiated AI B2B solutions that can be applied to various industrial sites, contributing to protecting worker safety and improving work productivity.”
