Samsung confirmed to launch Galaxy XR on October 21st

Mark 21 October on your calendar! Samsung confirmed that it will launch its awaited Galaxy XR at a virtual product launch event on October 21.
The Galaxy fans’ community has been waiting for Samsung’s first XR headset, which was formally codenamed Project Moohan. Recently, the company confirmed “Galaxy XR” as the official name of the headset through Bluetooth SIG listing.
Two weeks ago, it was predicted that the company would launch the Galaxy XR on October 21 and open pre-registration from October 15; fortunately, the predictions came true.
Samsung has released a teaser, spotlighting phrases like “immersive, everyday experiences” with the XR Headset. The event, which will go live on October 21 virtually, will be projected as “Worlds Wide Open.”
The event will be livestreamed on Samsung’s official Newsroom and YouTube channel at 10 PM ET, which will be 03:00 AM in the UK, 07:30 AM in India, and 11:00 AM in South Korea.
Noticeably, Samsung has already opened the pre-registrations for the headset in the US, offering a free $100 credit upon preorders.
According to previously leaked reports, the Galaxy XR will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR+ Gen 2 chipset and will feature multiple sensors to track gestures & eye movement, two micro-OLED displays, each with a 4K resolution and up to 29 million pixels.
