Samsung rolls out the One UI 8.0 update for the Galaxy S23 in Canada

Samsung has already started expanding the One UI 8 rollout for the Galaxy S23 series in the global market, and now, the Canadian S23 owners can rejoice, as the company is delivering the update.

A couple of weeks ago, Samsung rolled out the One UI 8 update for the 2023 models in the US; meanwhile, the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are receiving the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 update in Canada, which is identified with the version numbers S911WVLU6EYI5, S916WVLU6EYI5, and S918WVLU6EYI5, respectively.

More specifically, One UI 8 is powered by Android 16 on top, which brings certain new UI elements with vibrant colors, improved widgets, and enhanced layouts that significantly take the user experience to the next level.

At the same time, the update apparently enhances the entire AI experience with smarter tools for communication, creativity, and personalization, while also adding relevant upgrades to the Galaxy AI suite for experiencing advanced AI-powered features such as Call Captions, best face, and improved portrait generation. This will eventually lead to a smarter, smoother, and efficient user experience.

Well, not just this, the update further integrates the September 2025 security patch, which focuses on improving the device’s overall security, functionality, and core performance in order to provide a secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats.

Nevertheless, Samsung is already rolling out One UI 8 version for the Galaxy S23 family in Canada, thus users can download the latest software through Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.
