Samsung suspended the One UI 8 rollout for Galaxy M53 users

Samsung Galaxy M53 smartphone users, the company has suspended the One UI 8 release for you, without releasing any official announcement.

The Korean tech giant is actively working on extending the Android 16-based One UI 8 update to all the eligible Galaxy devices. To date, almost all devices have already received the update. A few days back, the company started rolling out the update for the Galaxy M53 smartphone, but now the update has been temporarily removed from the OTA server.

A post on X, shared by Mohammed Khatri, reveals that Samsung silently removed the One UI 8 for the Galaxy M53 from the OTA server currently in Korea. Noticeably, the company hasn’t even released any official notice regarding this suspension.

The reason behind this suspension could be performance issues or software conflicts, depending on the region. However, it is not the first device for which Samsung withdrew the update, as the Galaxy Z Fold SE, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy S24 have already faced a similar situation when the update was withdrawn due to system stability issues.

According to experts, the company is still working on controlling the quality of the update to ensure stability before reopening the global release. It remains unclear when the One UI 8 rollout will restart for the Galaxy M53, but it’s expected that it will not take long.
