Samsung just released the first official sneak peek at its upcoming Galaxy Glasses, alongside the newly launched Galaxy XR, based on the Android XR operating system, at the Galaxy Event.
Samsung is actively working to maintain its leading legacy and stand strong against its rival brands in the tech market by debuting innovative devices with an impressive wow factor. For so long, Samsung has been working on its first XR headset, tri-folding phone, and smart glasses to launch as soon as possible.
Recently, it debuted its premium Galaxy XR headset in the US and Korea; however, it remains unclear whether it will expand the availability to more regions. Apart from the headset, it dropped the first glimpse at its forthcoming Galaxy Glasses powered by Android XR at the Galaxy Event.
However, Samsung hasn’t revealed any specific details of the Galaxy XR Glasses and has not even disclosed the exact launch timeline. The company is collaborating with Google and Warby Parker, a pioneering lifestyle brand, to build its Galaxy XR Glasses. Noticeably, it is also working with Gentle Monster to realize stylish, fashion-forward eyewear.
According to the previous reports, the smart glasses may be controlled via the Glasses Manager, and it is expected to launch in 2026 with deeper AI integration. The key focus of Samsung regarding the glasses is to make them lighter and more practical for everyday use.
