Samsung could bring back its web browser for Windows

Samsung is now anticipated to bring back its dedicated web browser, “Samsung Internet,” on Windows, as the beta version of the app gives some evidence.

Back in 2023, Samsung launched its own web browser dedicatedly to the Windows platform; however, it discontinued in early 2024. Now, a new report from SamMobile suggests that after launching the Galaxy XR headset, the company is looking forward to setting up the Samsung Internet app for its Windows comeback.

According to the report, the latest beta version of Samsung Internet’s mobile version revealed a few signs of the web browser for the PC, which hints that the company is preparing for the launch of its web browser for Windows OS.

Noticeably, users can easily see that ‘Samsung Internet is now available for PC’ in a notification on top of the app’s Settings page, which seems similar to the company notifying users regarding the availability of the app’s Windows version.

However, Samsung brings notable upgrades and tweaks to its web browsers, usually with a major One UI update, and currently, it has One UI 8.5 in the pipeline; it could be possible that the Windows version of the app arrives with this coming update.

It’s expected that Samsung could integrate the Windows version of Samsung Internet with more advanced AI-powered features. However, currently, there’s no official statement regarding this; it remains to be seen whether the report will come true.
