Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy M series is massively winning the hearts of customers in India, as its sales are about to hit 60 million units.
Transparently, Samsung is the leading smartphone brand globally, and one of the key reasons behind its leading position is its non-stop effort to bring differentiated value across every range of devices, including flagship, mid-range, and budget-friendly.
Samsung has several lineups according to price point; for instance, the Galaxy S-series belongs to flagship smartphones, the Galaxy M & A series for mid-range, and more.
Now, the company announced that its mid-range Galaxy M-series is about to reach the 60 million unit sales milestone by the end of this year. If this happens, then it will be the most efficient step for the company to consolidate its position in the market.
Head of MX Business, Samsung India, Akshay S Rao, revealed that the Galaxy M lineup plays a strategic as well as crucial role in the company’s expansion plans, and regarding this, he stated, “We expect to cross the 60 million unit sales mark by 2025. Samsung always aims to bring differentiated value at every price point, so that every customer finds a reason to choose our products.”
Initially, the Galaxy M series was introduced in 2019, which is dedicatedly designed for mainstream and young users, combining performance, battery life, and competitive prices. Recently, it launched Galaxy M17 5G, offering more value for money compared to its Galaxy A siblings.
On the other hand, Samsung is also looking forward to increasing the share of flagship phones in its overall sales figures; the $120-$180 price segment remains crucial for the Korean firm.
It will be interesting to see whether Samsung’s prediction regarding the Galaxy M-series hitting the 60 million unit sales milestone by the end of 2025.
