Samsung Expands October 2025 Security Update Rollout for the Galaxy S23 Series to Europe

Samsung has already started the distribution of the October 2025 security update for the Galaxy devices; meanwhile, the Galaxy S23 series is getting the update in other countries, other than South Korea.

Essentially, Samsung initiated the October 2025 security update rollout for the Galaxy S23 family, starting from South Korea, and now, the company seems to be expanding the update in Europe, as spotted via a user on Samsung Community. It’s expected that the update will be expanded to more countries in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the latest firmware for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra has been identified with the S911BXXS8EYJ3, S916BXXS8EYJ3, and S918BXXS8EYJ3 version numbers, respectively. Therefore, users can now download the latest version through Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.

However, the latest update is a minor October security patch that doesn’t bring any major features or changes; instead, it brings a lot of improvements for the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance, which apparently provides a secure user experience while also protecting the device against potential threats.

At the same time, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior for efficient functionality and brings certain performance optimizations to provide a smoother, effective, and stable experience for the users.

Well, on the other hand, Samsung has also resumed the One UI 8 update rollout after pulling it from its OTA servers due to some unknown issues. Hopefully, the process goes smoothly for every eligible Galaxy phone and tablet, be it the October patch or the One UI 8 update.
