Samsung started firmware testing for the Galaxy A57

Samsung gives new evidence that the Galaxy A57 is in development, as it has stated testing the firmware for the device.

Samsung is actively working on extending its mid-range Galaxy A-series this year, as earlier this year it launched several smartphones under this lineup, including the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26. Now, under the hood, the company has already started working on launching the Galaxy A57 as the successor of the Galaxy A56.

Multiple times, the device has been spotted online; for instance, once listed on the IMEI database with the dedicated model number SM-A576B/DS, confirming a dual-SIM variant of the device. The previous Geekbench listing of the device revealed that it will be powered by the in-house Exynos 1680 chipset. It is expected to run Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box and will have 8GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, a post on X, shared by Akhilesh Kumar, revealed that Samsung started testing the firmware for the upcoming Galaxy A57. This indirectly confirmed that Samsung is working on the Galaxy A57.

Apart from this, the post hasn’t revealed any major or notable details regarding the device. Currently, there’s a lack of details regarding the specifications and features of the device, but it is expected that, since the company started testing the firmware, more leaks and rumors will come into existence soon.
