Galaxy Tri-Fold appeared on Bluetooth SIG, hinting at the availability

Samsung’s foldable fans are eagerly waiting for the upcoming Galaxy Tri-Fold device, which was recently spotted on Bluetooth SIG, suggesting the official launch isn’t too far away.

Previously, it was rumored that Samsung would launch the Galaxy Tri-Fold in the last week of October; however, a physical prototype has already been officially unveiled at the K-Tech Showcase, a side event of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit 2025.

Meanwhile, the device has been listed on the Bluetooth SIG certification (via) with several model numbers, which are dedicated to specific regions, as mentioned below –

  • SM-D6390
  • SM-D639U
  • SM-D639U1
  • SM-D639N
  • SM-D639B

The first two listed model numbers belong to China and South Korea, while the next two correspond to carrier-locked and unlocked versions for the US. The last model number stands for the international variant.

These model numbers hit an unusual pattern, which is different from the usual pattern Samsung uses for Galaxy devices. It could be the company’s strategy for Samsung to disguise its upcoming products during the certification process to avoid drawing enough attention ahead of the official launch.

One of the noticeable facts is that the international model received a dedicated certification from the other variants, which suggests that there could be a few hardware differences between them. It remains to be seen exactly what happens next, and in which regions the device will make its mark.
