Samsung Electronics eyes global HVAC leadership, as it completely acquired ‘FlaktGroup’

Samsung Electronics has always introduced various innovations and technologies, be it its Galaxy phones or its smart home appliances. Now, the company is aiming to lead the global HVAC market, and thus, it has successfully completed its acquisition of Europe’s largest firm.

​Well, Samsung Electronics has acquired Europe’s largest HVAC firm, FlaktGroup, and now, it has announced that it has finally completed the acquisition, aiming to lead the global HVAC and data center markets.

​With the acquisition of FlaktGroup, Samsung appears to be planning to infuse the incredible sales and production units of FlaktGroup so that it could expand R&D and strengthen the supply chain of integrating products and services to increase synergies.

​At the same time, the firm will also provide more subsidiaries, including Woods Air Movement (which offers ventilation and fire safety systems), SEMCO (which provides specializations in air handling and flow solutions). Through this acquisition, Samsung aims to build a robust chain in every region in order to enhance its service capabilities, due to the increasing demand for large amounts of air conditioning systems in North America, South Korea, and Europe.

​Other than that, with the integration of advanced HVAC control systems of FlaktGroup with Samsung’s smart home management platforms like SmartThings Pro and b.IoT to explore even more new opportunities in smart building safety solutions and energy efficiency.
