Samsung Galaxy S26 series is again in the news for its processor, as a new report says it will be based on the Exynos 2600 chip in most regions.
If the recent reports come true, then the Galaxy S26 series will be announced on 25 February 2026, at the Galaxy Unpacked event, in San Francisco, and sales will start in the first week of March. The lineup will include three models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
For so long, the processor of the Galaxy S26 series has been a controversial topic among the tech giants. Initially, it was expected that the company would power the entire series with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. However, a few rumors suggested that the base models of the lineup could be powered by an in-house Exynos 2600 chipset.
Meanwhile, a new report shared by a leaker, @Kro_roe, claimed that Samsung is considering equipping the in-house Exynos 2600 chipset in most markets, including India, Europe, the Middle East, and many Asian countries. However, the US, China, and a few other countries are anticipated to equip the Snapdragon variant.
According to the report, even Korea is expected to receive the Exynos version. The leaker mentioned that the Ultra variant of the lineup, Galaxy S26 Ultra, can also be based on the Exynos 2600 chipset.
However, Samsung has not released any official statement regarding the distribution of Exynos 2600 for the Galaxy S26 series in particular markets.
