Samsung’s One UI 8 update brings new features to the Galaxy Tab A9

It appears that Samsung has yet to deliver the ongoing Android 16-based One UI 8 update for its Galaxy devices; meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab A9 owners can rejoice, as the update is starting to roll out for the affordable tablets, starting from South Korea.

Well, Samsung has already updated a handful of its phones and tablets with the latest Android 16-based software.

Now, the company has started the One UI 8 distribution for yet another tablet, the Galaxy Tab A9, which is currently available in South Korea and is expected to expand to even more countries over the coming weeks.

Essentially, the latest firmware for the Galaxy Tab A9 has been identified with the X110XXU6DYK3 version number, while at the same time, the update brings One UI 8 that runs Android 16 on top, which delivers a sleek and intuitive design with more vibrant colors, streamlined widgets and optimized layouts that apparently takes the user experience to the next level, while also adding a few new features for smoother functionality.

Also, the update lets users have a more convenient and connected experience through the UI that optimizes users’ personal experience.

Other than that, the update further integrates the October 2025 Security patch that eventually focuses on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance to provide a smoother, secure, and stable experience for the users, while also securing the device against external threats or attacks.
