Samsung has already been rumored to be shutting down its Edge lineup, which means dropping the Galaxy S26 Edge launch; however, its dummy image has now surfaced online.
Initially, it was reported that Samsung is considering replacing the Plus variant of the Galaxy S26 series with the Galaxy S26 Edge. Later, a few reports suggested that due to the lower sales rate of the Galaxy S25 Edge, the company is closing its Edge lineup, which means that it will not launch the Galaxy S26 series.
Meanwhile, a reliable tipster, Steve H. McFly, has shared images of an alleged dummy unit of the Galaxy S26 Edge, showcasing the thinness of the phone. Reportedly, the device measures 5.5mm in thickness.

One of the interesting facts is that the tipster also compared the device with Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro to show the day and night difference in their thickness. The dummy model is appearing in black color. However, the impressive slim design of the Galaxy S26 Edge doesn’t matter anymore, since the device has already been dropped.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S26 series in late January 2026. The lineup will include three variants: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The base variants of the lineup are reported to be powered by the Exynos 2600 in most regions, while the Ultra variant will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally.
