Well, according to post shared by a user, GaryB82, on Samsung Community US, detailing that a weird message is starting to circulate within the Samsung Members app, where the scammers are acting like they pose an official Samsung channel and says to the receiver that their account immediately needs to be ‘verified’, imposing a link that automatically asks for the users’ personal information.

At the same time, the message also possesses a fine if the receiver fails to comply with the message, which threatens a $500 fine that is to be paid within a 24-hour window. Other than that, another user from Samsung Community Europe suggests that the scam doesn’t appear to be limited to the US. Nevertheless, it’s clear that the messages that originated separately in both countries are fake and from unofficial accounts.

Additionally, a strange message with a few grammatical mistakes, which reads: “URGENT Account Verification Notice for Samsug” alongside an attached international legislation act, International Act No. S67 EU-DIG-ID-2025 that doesn’t even exist.

Since nothing seems official, users are advised not to click on any such link if they have seen or received any message from the scammers in the Samsung Members app.
