Samsung rolls out the November 2025 Security Update for its Galaxy Z Series in the US

Samsung is already continuing to release the latest November 2025 security update for its eligible Galaxy devices, beginning from budget models to high-end flagships.

Now, the company has shifted its focus to the Galaxy foldables, as a few of the Galaxy Z series devices have started getting the update.

Specifically, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Fold 6, Flip 6, Fold 5 and Flip 5 have started receiving the November 2025 security update and is currently spotted for the Verizon-locked models in the US, which in turn suggests that Samsung is only limiting the update rollout to the US-based foldables, at least for now, and is expected to expand to even more countries over the coming weeks.

The latest firmware for the current Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 has been identified with the F966USQS6AYK9 and F766USQS6AYK9 version numbers, respectively. At the same time, the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 comes with a new F956USQS2CYK2 and F741USQS2CYK2 version numbers, respectively.

Lastly, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 carries the F946USQS6FYK2 version number, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes with the F731USQS6FYK2 version number.

Indeed, the latest software just integrates the November 2025 security update, which, however, doesn’t bring any major features or changes, but it significantly packs a handful of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities. It focuses on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance to provide a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against external threats or attacks.

Other than that, the update further adds stability to the entire system behavior and brings certain performance optimizations for a smoother, efficient, and stable experience for the users.
