Samsung has already concluded the distribution of Android 16-based One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 as well as the Galaxy S22 series, and with that, now, the company is delivering the ongoing November 2025 security update for the devices.
Spotted via a user on Samsung Community Korea, Samsung is rolling out the latest November 2025 security update for two of its premium flagships, the Galaxy S25 and the S22 models.
Clearly, it is noticeable that the update is currently limited to Samsung’s home country, South Korea, which could make it to even more regions over the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, the latest firmware for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra has been identified with the S931NKSS7BYK5, S936NKSS7BYK5, and S938NKSS7BYK5 version numbers, while the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra come with the S901NKSS7GYK3, S906NKSS7GYK3, and S908NKSS7GYK3 version numbers, respectively.
At the same time, the latest update significantly brings the November 2025 security update, which, however, doesn’t add any major features or changes.
But it significantly packs a handful of fixes for all the security issues acknowledged by both Google and Samsung collectively, and focuses on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance to provide a secure user experience, while also protecting the device against external threats or attacks.
Other than that, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior, and even brings certain performance optimizations that leads to a smoother, efficient, and stable functionality for the users.
Well, this update comes right after Samsung delivered the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 as well as the Galaxy S22 series, while the company has already delivered the latest patch for the S24 and the S23 series a couple of days ago.
